Divine Saviour celebrates the special gifts and talents that our children have been blessed with. Along with academic excellence, it our goal to form the whole child so that they may become disciples after the example of Mary, who is the exemplar of what it means to be a loving disciple of Jesus.
The Student Council is a club for students from 4th – 8th grades whose goal is to develop church and community leaders.
The ministry of altar serving is open to all students who have received the sacrament of First Communion. Altar Servers are asked to serve at both school and parish liturgies.
The ministry of music welcomes all children, TK – 8th grade as they celebrate their faith through the gift of music. Leading our liturgical celebrations, children are trained as cantors and take on the responsibility of leading the community in song.
The mission of Divine Saviour’s Family Liturgy is to provide an opportunity for our children to grow in their faith as dedicated active Catholic Christians and nurtured by a community of faculty, family, and friends, grow into the church leaders of tomorrow who will serve as disciples for the world community. Students from Transitional Kindergarten – 8th Grade participate. As members of the Family Liturgy team, students from 2nd – 8th Grade are trained as lectors and proclaim the Word of God at parish and school liturgies.
California junior scholarship federation
The California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) strives to foster high standards of scholarship, service, and citizenship on part of California students in Middle School, and to promote appropriate activities among its members. Members go on cultural field trips and engage in service, exemplifying the organization's motto: "Scholarship for Service."
