I am humbled to introduce myself as the new principal of Divine Saviour School. I am honored and feel blessed to have the opportunity to lead a Servite, STEM school. In getting to know you and Father Albert, it has become clear that Divine Saviour is a unique community.
Professionally, I have worked in public schools, nonprofits and Catholic schools for over ten years; five of those years as a Middle School STEM and Social-Studies teacher at St. Aloysius. My most recent administrative experience has been at St. Turibius, where I was an Onward Leaders Resident Principal.
I firmly believe that all students can succeed by empowering them to take charge of their learning.Divine Saviour’s mission for students to become lifelong learners with a passion for intellectual and spiritual growth, who will be active Catholics in word and deed aligns with mine. My goal is to shape leaders of tomorrow by engaging them in meaningful thinking and learning, both academically and spiritually, in collaboration with each other and our teachers.
Currently, we are all facing a crisis that is greatly impacting our communities. Please know that our goal of educating and supporting your child remains the same. Thank you to our teachers and staff who continue to provide support through distance learning, and thank you parents for taking on this change with grace and support. It is through these difficult times that we must have faith. We need faith in our teachers, the continued success of our students, and the strength of our community to overcome the challenges we face today. Most importantly, we must rely on our Lord who will not abandon us.
Mother Teresa once said,“None of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful. ” Her words resonate with me everyday because it takes a team to move forward and achieve the goals we set forth. I look forward to meeting you all and growing in our mission through collaboration. My prayers go out to all of you and your families as we continue to navigate through these difficult times together.
